Greetings all whom have mistakenly found this site. I am a failed high school athlete turned runner turned mountain explorer. I’ve discovered the best version of myself is when running and generally chasing goals to rediscover my limits, both mentally and physically. I am not particularly fast nor accomplished as a runner but aim to improve each year while pursuing bigger goals.

For more on what started this site, visit the Obligatory Post page. You can also learn a bit more about me on my Bio.  You won’t find me on Facebook (meh) or Strava (too competitive) but might find me stalking a few events on Twitter.

This is otherwise a place for me to write about events and share general thoughts on managing life as a parent first, career second, and running somewhere along this mythical axis. There are lots of recent or archived race reports for those that want to poke around but I hope the content here inspires someone or maybe just my future self.

The best part of trail running, seeing these wonderful faces. This particular shot was the midpoint of Mountain Masochist in 2017 with Dylan (18 mo), Ryan (3),  Nicole,  and Grandma.
